whimzwhirled says: I will leave the stripes in the direction they are in now and see if there is much interest in it. If so I will take your advice and do another one with the stripes going the other way. BTW, Su, I redid the painting the town red and have ordered the swatch. I will let you know if I get red instead of orange this time. Will be posting 30 new fabrics after the swatches get here.

su_g says: Hhhmm... I'd be tempted to have both directions, a vertical as well as a horizontal... because this would make a really cute top as a horizontal, where you could use the dwindling effect as a slimming effect... if it was sized right so that the widely spaced fish were at the shoulders and the tighter spaced ones at the waist or hip. It is an awfully cute design.

whimzwhirled says: I think I will even switch the direction of the design to where the stripes run the length of the fabric.

whimzwhirled says: Thanks for the holler Su. That is what I liked about the design is that it creates stripes. It doesn't show that well as a swatch and after the contest I will switch the view to show the stripes better.

su_g says: This was very diffferent - works well as a ditsy-with-a-difference at the Swatch view; while from a Q or yardage it works as a stripe-with-a-difference.
