rhondad...

rhondadesigns says: "Summer in the City" is a spectacular freehand geometric design, Su! In it, you have captured the visual, glaring, evidence of searing heat and glaring sunlight as it sizzles and flashes it's message from concrete and brickwork, and from windscreens and high rise glass panels.

su_g says: Very belated thanks for your interesting comments, and sorry to be so tardy responding... I can see what you mean when I look at your 'Summercat' again - and I remember how struck by it I was then!

krussim...

krussimages says: Well,Su, do great minds think alike or what ? I think the" light and heat" you captured in your"Summer in the City" is similar to my "Summercat",or at least what I tried to achieve. I have never been to your part of the world, but I can only imagine you have some amazing natural light too. Thanks for noticing my work. It is very flattering ! Kim@krussimages

su_g says: Thank you so much Deborah, it is a real summer design - but I like Sue Ellen's idea that it would be warming in winter too!

bippidiiboppidii says: Very nice Su! Radiates heat all right! Has terrific balance to offset that shimmering heat in both the swatch and fq view.

su_g says: Nice idea, Sue Ellen... the turtle neck to warm you visually as well as actually! Thanks for the feedback.

fireflower

fireflower says: I somehow missed this colorway when it came out, Su. I like the red-orange, gold, mustard combo in the diamonds. They feel hot without being eye-scorching. I'd like this on a knit turtleneck for the winter, to warm me visually as well as actually.

su_g says: I never thought of that! I'll have to hold this design in mind for another opportunity with a restricted palette... it would be a perfect one to play around in with that in mind!

joanmclemore says: With slight color changes, this would fit into the designs for the retro kitchen.
