Description:

These moths often feed on the nectar of night blooming flowers.

There is a story (and a little silliness) hidden in this design: notice the long "tongues" of my moths reaching out for the exotic blooms. My husband told me about a story he had read about Charles Darwin. When a comet orchid was found in Madagascar with a 12 inch deep blossom with nectar at the bottom, Darwin predicted the existence of moths with a 12 inch long "proboscis" to be able to reach the nectar and pollinate the flower. No species like that had yet been discovered, but 21 years later the moth was found, exactly as he described.
