Description:

The Bug Love Two series features a smaller scale version of my Bug Love design, interspersed with a mini-leaf motif.

Who doesn't love bugs--especially when they are printed on fabric or wall paper or gift wrap! I set out to create a fun design with insects that featured some of the more popular crawling and flying critters--lady beetle, praying mantis, fire ant, honey bee, monarch caterpillar, and Japanese beetle. My decision to base my drawings on photos of the actual insects was inspired by my own daughters. When they were young, both girls loved to look at bugs through a magnifying lens and they were fascinated by what they observed about these creatures. The designs in the Bug Love Collection are dedicated to all the bug lovers out there, and particularly to our young future entomologists!
