I titled this fabric Snake Skin Jacket because when I look at the pattern these snakes make when placed in mirror image I can't help but think you would be top dog wearing something so fun and literally wild. No Snakes were harmed in the making of this cloth;} How about a snake skin chair or couch? Now that would be so fun. Please look at this not just as a whole but used in organic cut outs for up-cycled stuff, applique, and have fun matching other solids or prints. I can spy some awesome waist bands and accents that can be cut from this design. Thanks for stopping by. Take a second to display this at 3 yards and see how fun the swirls join together. This can print well at twice this size and was tested at the larger sizing. I took it down to half for the contest purposes. I wanted the whole repeat to show on the fat quarter.

rhondadesigns says: Your incredibly intricate design has captured the dual emotions of fascination and fear that are evoked by snakes in all their venomous and perilous beauty!

anniedeb says: Great design, Janiece. I bet this would print beautifully on the linen-cotton canvas. I can see this design in pillows or a really cool bag. Love it.

whimzwhirled says: Thanks Su, I tested this at twice the size and it looks great. I scaled it down for the contest. I will be getting some on silk to make neckties at the small scale. This is a sleeper fabric. It is one of my favorites and was posted to the market over a year ago with out much notice. I took these photos over 20 years ago. lol I dated a guy who raised poison snakes. He was nice the snakes were creepy. He asked me to marry him but I couldn't get past the snakes. Kept thinking of waking up to a cobra in bed. Years later he got rid of them when one of his buddies that also raised poison snakes was bit and died. He got married not long after. lol
