su_g says: Thanks Sheila, at the risk of sounding egotistical I agree that it does look good printed and I think for once I got the scale right too...

su_g says: Ever since designer Glimmericks said it had a "glorious Monet water garden quality" I've wanted to see it printed on silk. Surprisingly, there is very little color difference to the quilting cotton proof print.

su_g says: Daylight close up of 8" x 8" swatch to show the color range. Should print beautifully on sateen or silk as there's already some metallic paint sheen in the design.

su_g says: Hmmm, that is a very interesting idea Joan, for using the color shifts across the fabric... I want to see this printed on crepe de chine &/or sateen to see if the fabric sheen brings out the metallic gold in the design... And Rhonda thanks for your wonderful description "light shimmering on wind-ruffled water on a bright sunny day...thru' a stained galss window"... I don't think there is anything to add!

joanmclemore says: I am thinking it would be great for art quilts too. I see it as trees in a distant landscape. If the different colored parts were "pieced" onto different sections of a quilt it could display depths of forests possibly.

rhondadesigns says: This design is glorious, Su! It gives the impression of light shimmering on wind-ruffled water on a bright sunny day .... when viewed through a stained glass window!
