Especially designed to make t-shirts, this Union Jack print is sized to fit a cropped shirt. The proportions and angles of the design are changed to better suit the body, rather than being accurate to the official version of the flag. To make a t-shirt, 2 yards should be plenty: each repeat will give you a front, back, or 2 short sleeve pieces. White space has been deliberately added for matching-fabric cuffs and neckbands. Print on one of Spoonflower's knit fabrics for best results.

bitsofbeads says: Hi, Would like to make a throw cushion. Hard finding a panel the right size. If I purchased a fat quarter will it have the whole union jack sized to fit ? Thank you for your time. Lisa

curiousjoan says: Hi Princess! For a t-shirt, you really need a knit fabric. The combed cotton doesn't have the stretch you need for t shirt constructions to work. Any of the knit bases should work fine -- which one you want to pick will depend on the amount of stretch plus the finish that you desire. Hope that helps! :)

princess2_2 says: Hello! Which fabric option would be good for a t-shirt? Would any and all of them be? I've been told that knit fabric is best for a t-shirt, but would basic combed cotton work too, or is that more like the cotton fabric you'd use for skirts and such? I just want to get the right thing. Thanks! :)

curiousjoan says: I've changed it to 300 DPI, which was my original intention. Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you!

curiousjoan says: It is supposed to be 40.5"x22", although I can see from the preview that this is not the case. It may be an issue with my DPI settings; let me change those to make it accurate as designed. If you need a significantly different size (up or down) I'd be happy to make it for you.
