There are some things I want to do in life, and some things I don't. Driving a solid wheeled vehicle, even if it is driving over soft ground, is on my don't list.
Between the metal bouncy seat, the sun beating down on the sweaty driver, for 8 hours at a time, and those implements of torture rear wheels, give me a modern Deere with air conditioned cabin and satellite radio any time.
This orchard and vineyard version of the Wallis tractor was made up until 1932, when Wallis (then owned by Massey Harris) ceased production of everything.
This specific ad came from the January 12, 1929 issue of the Pacific Rural Press, a weekly San Francisco farm magazine.
