Amy_g's "Cocktails Anyone?"inspired my Fizz-n-Bubble Stripe Collections, as I envisioned her Prohibition Cocktails bubbling up through straws.

"Prohibition Era" was one of the Spoonflower weekly challenges in the month of October 2016. I didn't enter the contest . . . but loved Amy's entry: • I hunted through my shop looking for a fabric that would coordinate with it, for a Sprout mock-up. Not finding anything appropriate, I decided to create some coordinating stripes • This particular design is in the Collection "Fizz-n-Bubbles, Set 1 of 4: • As I began working on the project, I had to giggle. I began to think of my stripes as straws, and so had to add some bubbles coming up through the stripes. After creating multiple colorways, I began to play around in PhotoShop with various filters. I created a jagged stripe version - and then I started giggling. Those stripes looked like they had had a little too much to drink! So - they became the Fizz-n-Bubble Inebriated Stripes. • With the regular stripes, the inebriated stripes, and a multitude of colorways, this has now evolved into four full collections. • I always do a pinstripe versions of my stripes, and also like to have all stripes available in lengthwise, crosswise and diagonal versions. Hopefully you will be able to find just what you are looking for in this extensive collection! • These stripes are especially nice for blouses, skirts and men’s shirts. I very much enjoy using the crosswise stripes for the bodice of a dress, and the diagonl stripes are so fun on a sleeve, where they create a spiral effect. • Happy sewing! • Copyright Mary K Wykes 10-05-16
