This is the key fabric for colorway 2b of the Morning Reverie Collection. This colorway employs a rich purple and a vibrant blue.

The light tangling creates a lacy look. I think this would make an elegant skirt or blouse, perhaps also a long, flowing dress - though I would probably use a coordinating solid for the bodice. * * * The practice of ® is an amazing way to wake up creativity. I learned through this practice to fearlessly start a piece with no forethought as to where I was going, and learned that by letting my imagination flow freely, I could come up with creations I would never have done otherwise. The key design in the Morning Reverie Collection is such a piece. AFTER creating it, I began to see birds. The coffee cups I added later, because I began to think of being on the porch in the morning, drinking coffee and listening to the birds. (These details are not really apparent unless you are looking for them, especially at the smaller scale.) * * * Now being an abstract piece, you may see something entirely different. If you do, I'd love to hear about it! Please feel free to message your comments, or leave them at the bottom of the Morning Reverie page. * * * Here is the URL to the collection: * * * Send a message through the link in the left hand column if you need this in another size! * * * Happy sewing! Thanks for stopping by!* * * Copyright Mary K Wykes April 2016

uberdesigns says: I love the intricacy of this design, plus it has two of my favorite colors, purple and blue. Wouldn't it make a lovely scarf? I could also see it as home decor, particularly table cloths and duvets. Would make cool gift wrap too.
