anniedeb says: Oh, Su, I was pleasantly surprised! I always look at the list on the day the winners are announced. I have my heart in my throat as I start my way up from the bottom of the list. When I don't catch my name early on, I go back to the bottom to make sure I didn't overlook it!! Then I continue on up the list. Thank you for the comments. :-)

su_g says: This is GREAT Deborah!! So fantastically textured and dotted, and that rick background reminds me of cakes and cookies, and smarties or M&Ms, all the sweeties we like! And the patterning looks great in the yardage view - this is a good scale for it, certainly for the contest... I am wondering how it would go on minky...

anniedeb says: Thanks so much, Rhonda. I'm going to collect your comments and put them in a book!! ;-) When I was working on this, I thought of my little brother who would grab our mom's silverware (the real stuff, not the everyday silverware) and dig out in the garden. She loved him more than that silverware so there were no punishments. Spoons would occasionally turn up in later years when my dad would till the garden. Maybe that's the deeper meaning you picked up on. I appreciate your studying this design and thanks so much for your comments.

rhondad...

rhondadesigns says: The interlinked and overlapped spotted spoons depicted in your design have a bold primitive look There is an intriguing hint of deeper symbolic meanings being hidden within the layers of this pattern. It is a pattern that engages the mind and causes one to stop a while and ponder possible interpretations!
