For many years I would go on an Autumn float trip on one of Missouri's beautiful scenic rivers.

It was the final frolic before winters icy fingers reached out across the land to settle the earth for it's season of sombre. Like clockwork each 2 or 3 day weekend would have one crappy day or night of weather but the rest of the trip was perfect in color and warmth. Every thing is rustling just beneath the leaves to store and prepare for the long sleep. The last time of the year to dip your toes in the rivers flow and run barefoot down the mossy hills. This is what autumn leaves mean to me and where they connect to my heart. I showed you mine now show me yours. lol This is my contest entry, thanks for looking.

rhondadesigns says: Ooh! There are so many fascinating layers of Autumnal beauty and mystery to ponder in this gorgeous design, Janiece! I was intrigued by all of the elemental spirits of Autumn that seem to be peering out from the pattern of leafy camouflage when the design is viewed on the multiple-yardage settings!

whimzwhirled says: Thanks Moira Rae. I absolutely love Bakst's work and have reworked several of his costumes into other works. This one is one of my favorites and I have used her in another piece as well that I sell here called "the devil may care".
