We are all trapped in whatever time and space we are born in. We can travel to other countries and visit other cultures, but never other times. Yet I still have a longing to spend just one summer in 1898 and experience the graphic psychedelia of art nouveau first hand.
The closest I will ever get to that are with these retro 19th century drawings of swimming paisley and curling vines.
I guess I should be glad I am stuck in the 21st century for the rest of my life. There was no Spoonflower to help me make these time travel trips back then. And I might have ended up in a place with no electricity or flush toilets. Even the grand hotels with indoor plumbing had one bathroom per floor down the hall. And as for their toilet paper...uhm, well, maybe I should be glad time travel is only fantasy.
