Welcome to my shop! I have always loved to draw~whimsical and kooky themes are favorites and Spoonflower really allows one's imagination to go wild. Novelty fabrics are my specialty. If you would prefer a different size in a design just message me.

Description:

https://kuler.adobe.com/Yarn-Palette-color-theme-2857069/

This is my design entry in the Adobe Kuler Spaces contest. I created this design from the colors of a particular yarn that I have used over and over again for making hair for my handmade dolls. I'm just crazy for the colors and it looks wild and so cool as long doll hair! In the actual yarn, the blues and purple shades are much more prominent and the green is just an accent. I did the green in greater quantity, as I loved it as the background color. I also added black and white to the palette in the design.

vanilla...

vanillabeandesigns says: Your wiggly yarns are so cool looking! I truly love your geometric design, and I think that you should do more of them. Your funny wheels are adorable bumbing along under the zig-zagy road, and the blue stripes look like a river with sparkling drops of water splashing up into the air. Wonderful!

whimzwh...

whimzwhirled says: This is a beautiful pattern and kudos to you for trying out the application. I agree with Deborah though. I didn't enter this contest because I didn't want to mess with that application. I don't need another thing in my life right now. lol I guess it has its purpose but for me it seemed more like a waste of time. I already have all the colors I could ever use at my finger tips. It just didn't appeal to me. I have seen some great entries in the contest but nothing I've seen couldn"t have been done without the app. Still you kicked the apps butt and came up with an awesome fashion design.

anniedeb says: So cool, Amy. I read the directions for the Kuler Spaces contest and became overwhelmed. I also like reading about the source of your colors for the design. Great job!

winterb...

winterblossom says: This is so different! I love it. What a lovely colour palette. I'd love to see your handmade dolls and their hair. Gosh, your very talented. I used to have a Tracey doll (the cheaper version of Sindy) and I used to love pressing the belly button and the hair would grow long, if I remember rightly. Anyway, I used to love combing and combing her long hair. I hope you do well with this entry. It would be lovely as a long summer day dress with a nice scarf tied round the head.. There is a slight African feel to this design. Tribal.
