Description:

Combine my vision with yours by requesting a custom version. Comment on a design or by private message to the sef account.

This design ⇑ is simple overlapping feathers but with a gradient fill. Currently displaying a version in Spoonflower's first bird contest palette - perhaps like a phoenix. Other colours, stylings, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together. Eg while 6" is fine for display work, 2" to 4" might be more suitable for quilting or medium clothing.

sef

sef says: The design is based on one I did early on in the computer era (pre-internet). The colouring is new and non-trivial. However, it's just Spoonflower's display image which misses out bits at various scales and not anything planned on my part (although I do sometimes set the scale to eliminate or favour such image artifacts).

su_g says: Simple (deceptively I'm sure), elegant, a classic pattern. Curiously, you get to see a secondary pattern at the yard view, where 'something' knocks out regular portions of the internal feathers - now how on earth did you manage that Sef?
