As a native New Mexican I grew up surrounded by the rich color and design influences of the southwest. This combined with my 40 years as a photographer and my life long interest in science have led me to create these unique designs.

Description:

All of my fabrics are created from the images I take as a science photographer. The Geologia collections are taken from my project A COMMON GEOLOGY.

My images of the Geologic world are a part of an ongoing project ACOMMONGEOLOGY.COM I photograph geologic phenomena in a way that incorporates the elements of artistic design to create an image that is both pleasing to the eye and mind as well as being an illustration of a the geologic process. These images are then tagged with GPS coordinates and described in language that is easy for the non-geologist and the inquisitive mind to understand. Through these fabrics and the Common Geology Project we aspire to open up a fresh look at the geologic world. Some of the other images in the Santa Fe Collection are inspired by the desert flora of New Mexico around where I live.
