I am retired and my main passion is digital art followed by quilting . Once I discovered Spoonflower I could see this as the next step in joining these two interests together.

Digital sketches of some polymer clay masks that I made several years ago .The background is a piece of a photograph sent to me by my brother taken of the Sydney Harbour Bridge New Year Fireworks display.. I digitally altered this piece.

anniedeb says: Wonderful masks! I have a fondness for masks -- not wearing them, but making them. Your masks are beautiful.

koalalady says: Hi Su, You are spending a great length of time looking through my designs and I'm grateful. The selection of masks was governed by the fact that these were all that I had. If I get a length of this fabric printed and make this up into something I'll get them out of their box again for another photoshoot.. A big thank-you. Shirley

su_g says: Interesting, different and attractive! I like this very much. The selection of masks is interesting, the background different and effective, and the whole combination works well as a fabric and looks great in yardage. Also enjoyed reading your note about the design process. (And it was so nice not to see gold, green & purple!)

koalalady says: Thank you Rhonda.I like to believe that you saw the original intent and that was to have the fireworks going off in and around the masks , However , setting this scene was quite beyond my capabilities- G - the masks are now back in their box waiting further exposure!!!

rhondadesigns says: The textured background, with it's sparkling flashes of light, is an excellent foil for these intriguing masks!

koalalady says: Thanks Julie,I'm glad you think so. These masks were tucked away in a box as I never knew what to do with them. Finally found a use....LOL
