It was a dream for me to make fabric designs. Thank you Spoonflower ! I studied fashion design, photography, and esthetic of presentation. I am inspired about the mix of new, vintage, and antique... for everything: fashion, decor, fabric.

cjldesigns says: I love the colour variation in the flags you have used on the animals and the contrasting background colour and texture. Great design!

stephen_of_spoonflower says: So "Australia-Day-style"!! I'm generally not a fan of designs that use flags but this is SO WELL DONE!!! Partly it's the weird bits of the flag that end up on their faces (the koala's differently striped ears & the wombat wearing a white star like egg on its face are just wonderful ) and the lovely textures that stop it feeling flat and pasted on. The more I look the more I see - one of my favorites from this contest.

rhondadesigns says: This is fan-fun-tastic, Lucy! The flag-decorated, iconic Aussie, animals remind me so much of all the enthusiastic people adorned with patriotic sun-hats, T-shirts, sticker "tattoos" and sunscreen flag patterns when they celebrate Australia Day!
