peacoquettedesigns says: Ooooh! Those sequins are my cup of tea! That would be so pretty! Thanks, Wren!

wren_leyland says: Nice to see original photos so well retouched... and oy those sleeves are stunning! I could see some bedazzlers add giant clear sequins on the sleeves. But then it would turn your unique resort wear into a dance/skating costume. I also like how you continued the background in similar textures, in case adjustments need to be made.

peacoquettedesigns says: Thank you, Su! I really appreciate your comment! I think I am going to try to makes a scale print to match so a skirt or shorts could balance it out! Isn't it something to think we can make designs from images we take on our phones!

su_g says: Almost frightening in the intensity of the images!! Especially those fish-skin sleeves - giant scales! And the sheen on them! The mockup was really good to see in the close up details, I feel convinced that I could sew this and it would look like it should. Very nicely presented too.

peacoquettedesigns says: The Calm Below ~ One Yard Wonders ~ Mock Up This is hard to mock up with the gathering but I did ad a little rippling effect to the design of the tee shirt so you can get the idea of the finished product!

peacoquettedesigns says: Tee hee. Thanks! You can see the photo I used for the arms here: It was so funny. When I was at the aquarium, I kept wandering off to get "texture" pictures for future use... I just didn't picture if would be for sleeves on a blouse! I am going to size it down for my daughter and let her wear it when we go back this summer and see if the fish recognize themselves! ;)

fireflower says: I like those fishskin sleeves! Those little fish don't seem to realize such a large fish is swimming above them ... maybe it will swim on by and have dinner elsewhere.
