Design by Rhonda W. © 2012 This design is for my grandson, who is a frontier kind of boy. He was making his own primitive, but functioning, bows and arrows before he started school!

This design was created especially for my grandson as a tribute to his spirit of adventure, creativity and determination! All arrows fire to the left in recognition of his left-handedness. The background is yellow, as that is his favourite colour. The images were drawn by me from memories of his earliest , successful, attempts at making and firing his very own, hand-made bows and arrows. An original hand drawn design by Rhonda W. © 2012.

rhondadesigns says: Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful comments, Telden and Taj! You are quite right Telden, my grandson was rather pleased to have a special fabric designed for him on this theme, as making his own bows and arrows is still an ongoing interest of his.:-)

tajaan says: So nice to have a story behind a design! I like the color and the charming of the art it self !

telden says: This is wonderful, with a rich yellow background. My husband makes primitive bows, too, using wonky looking yew staves, but as far as I know he's never tried any knapping. I never thought of making a fabric design based on the archery theme. Your grandson must be tickled.
