A tessellation of arrows arranged with triad symmetry using a colour gradient.

A tessellation of arrows arranged with triad symmetry using a colour gradient. The underlying symmetry group is p31m (mirrors following the unit cell axes) and is preserved when a single colour gradient is employed. A colouring scheme with 3 colour gradients would convert that to p3m1 (mirrors crossing the unit cell axes at right angles) in a triple-sized unit cell.

Currently displaying a version in autumnal golden shades of yellow through orange to red with white outlines. Other colours, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together.

sef says: I did a different one as a rainbow. With this I tried a couple of options but liked the thorny autumnal look and wanted to have it as a direct comparison with the most similar tessellations within other symmetry groups. When I get to proofing them, I may mix up the colour choices again.

victorialasher says: I like this. I can imagine many uses for this. It would be wonderful in to see it in a whole rainbow of colors.

sef says: I thought so (and a more advanced tessellation than the competition - with a nice thorny, leafy, floral look to it); but it appears to be bombing out as usual. :-D
