By Kathleen Howard

Message me for resizing designs or colors changes and turning designs 90 degrees to better use the fabric. I share an interest in fabric design with my sister ArtbyJaneWalker . I'm a quilter and have a love of fabric. I can set up photos for pillows.

Design for mid century dress. Made to look like lace and rose applique to simplify dress construction for costume. The lace is simple and large to add texture when viewed on stage. There is plenty of plain pink at the bottom for a hem. This is set at 300dpi to show the basic border design (repeat 4 inches by 36 inches) and would be suitable for girls dresses at this size. I will reset after the contest to the original repeat of 8 inches wide and 2 yards long, which is good for ladies dresses. I can reload it turned so that the border is running the length of the fabric instead of across. It even prints good at 600dpi for doll clothes. Let me know what size repeat you desire.

khowardquilts says: Thank everyone for your nice comments. I'm not sure it was good to show it at 300dpi instead of full size, but it was the only way to show all the design in swatch size after I added more material for a hem. I took a chance that people would want to see room for a hem more than the full sized design. The version that I had printed at 600dpi on silk looks fantastic for tiny items.

fireflower says: This turned out really well, Kathy!! I like your lace pattern, and it shows quite well over the blue. I also like your idea of the faux applique --- it will indeed look pretty along the hem of a swirly skirt.
