Stylized hot air balloons of pomegranates, vines, and seeds.

These hot air balloons are very different. Each "balloon" is a stylized pomegranate with different patterns. Pomegranate "balloons" have leafy green vines attached to seeds in various colors. Each hot air pomegranate is 1.725" tall, with each "balloon" pomegranate being 1" tall and pomegranate seeds being 0.375" tall.

I was inspired to do this print when staring at a sketch of a pomegranate and thinking it looked like a hot air balloon. This is definitely a silly take on the pomegranate contest theme, but I had to create this print.

modgeek says: Printed on basic combed cotton. I have since made the green vine lines thicker and changed the red to one that should show up better compared to the pink. The new version is uploaded.

modgeek says: Thanks so much Sue Ellen, Cally, and Rhonda! I'm waiting on a swatch to see how the colors will do. I keep imagining this print on a corduroy for some reason. I'm glad people like this imaginative take on the theme.

forest&sea says: Gorgeous colours! I can imagine this would look amazing on a heavy, textured fabric.

fireflower says: So clever!! (I never cease to be amazed at the wonderful originality of thought amongst the SF designers ... a constant source of joy and inspiration.) Good colors, good scale, great shapes ... it has everything!
