Description:

This design ⇑ is a tessellation of obtuse isosceles triangles based on the semi-regular grid of regular dodecagons and equilateral triangles (by joining the centres of the faces). It is also derived from the regular hexagon or equilateral triangle grids (by layering 2 of their primary derivatives). Currently displaying a version in black on white. Other colours, stylings, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a custom mixture of designs.

sef says: The intersection stars really leap out in white (pale) on dark. There are some interesting zig-zag variations too. But what I was hoping to get around to doing, at some point, was a scarf-like development of each polygon grid with the various derivatives fading in and out to interact in different ways as the pattern ran from one end/side of the width to the other.

This one would be fun to see various colorways with extreme contrast of colors just to watch the shapes advance or recede based on the light or dark of the colors applied into the specific shapes or shape groups.
