Large, complex designs are a joy to work with! I enjoy experimenting with new techniques. I love to read. My favorite books used to be Science Fiction and Fantasy, but Biography and Poetry capture my attention now. I relish the unexpected.

Description:

Tip, tipe, typing at a furious speed. Watching washes wearing need.

Found a beautiful Smith Corona at the thrift store. Typing is fun. A lot more physical than using a keyboard. My children love it.

feebeedee says: Thank-you whimzwhirled. I like your name. Isn't it interesting how we see each change and more and more as we get older? I was 18 when ATMs first came out.

whimzwhirled says: What I used in high school typing class. 10th grade they got 3 electric typewriters that year but we couldn't use them. lol. This makes a fun fabric.

feebeedee says: Thanks weavingmajor! This is the first one I've turned into wallpaper, as well. I think I might order just one roll and do a closet or two.

weavingmajor says: very cool! I'd make a skirt out of it, or a tote bag.

feebeedee says: Yeah, nostalgia is a good way to look at it. It's also got nice lines, though, and text, which I love, because then you can see the writing on the wall, so to speak.

edsel2084 says: Neat retro ephemera. I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone using a genuine typewriter today. For that reason I am not sure what kind of object one would make with this. But I like it in a nostagia/Mad Men way.
