I've had this design hanging around awhile, and got some inspiration from other designers to play with it more, on Spoonflower. The views made me realize it takes on a whole "Boho" natural-ethnic feel in repeats! And it looks great in a gray colorway, too! Thank you, Spoonflower, for giving me more tools to dream and design : )
The antique lace square of my great-grandmothers is too delicate to use itself, so I scanned it on textured paper and created this nostalgic, yet updated design. Pairing it with beautiful roses in various motifs seemed perfect. Three colorways offered are (1) indigo-navy and grays, gentle lilac and blush, and candy pink and pale gray. "Le Bebe" collection mixes roses, old lace, and french architecture/icons like the Eiffel for a classy, sweet baby nursery or little one's room. But it's not limited to babes! Big girls love roses and lace too, so let your imagination go with Le Bebe.
The lace used in this scan-art design is over a hundred years old, done by my great-grandmother. I have several of them, but they are too delicate to use in sewing - but too pretty to stay in a drawer. I hope you enjoy a bit of nostalgia in updated colors in my Le Bebe Collection.
