This really is a plaid in a mutant sense because it has both rows and columns that intersect and alternate. It may not look "plaid" in the traditional sense. But I am not stretching the real definition to call these crisp and precise fine lines and little alternating diamonds plaid. They also use various shades of blue from pale baby boy aqua through slate and light blue and even navy. Each main diamond has a cross hatch of lines across it like bars over a window. Which is why this is named bar hopping blues. The dynamic range of the printed colors in real life is greater than I see on my screen. What reproduces on screen as a medium blue is navy. The lightest blue is darker on screen than in print. What looks gray in the long view is a dark lavender or light purple. There is no gray in this design. (frame 864968)
