Quilters are well known for substituting an interesting texture for a solid in order to create a more interesting surface. This same approach can be used to advantage when creating home decor or crafting a garment. Solids are always useful as coordinates and trim in combination with other designs. This is why I provide a nice selection of solids in all of my collections. Solids are also nice on their own as slacks, skirts, blouses, dresses, or as a nice splash of color in your home decor. Throw pillows and simple curtains or drapes would be a fun way to use them.
