don't think this forest is in Kansas.
When I told my husband the theme for this design challenge, he said "Emerald Forest? That sounds like something from the Wizard of Oz." He was completely right. I drew the repeat of this design in Illustrator and then layered it with a watercolor paint texture (which I painted and scanned) so that when you look closely, the crystal "trees" have lots of depth and texture. A single repeat of this design is 52 x 12 inches, the yellow brick road is about 5/8 inch wide and the crystal trees are 2-4 inches tall.
