My original design, all hand drawn digitally. I love planting in old toys. I pick them up at the thrift shops or sometimes I buy new toys to plant in. Cacti and succulents look particularly cute in toys. I found these really cute toy dump trucks to plant in from a company called Green Toys, they are adorable! So as you can see I used a toy dump truck, one of those dollie styling heads for little girls (so cute!) and a little unicorn toy in the design. Planting in toys make for a whimsical, quirky garden and that really appeals to me. Planting in dolls was inspired by some really creative people I follow on Instagram. If you are going to plant in a dollie, I think it looks best if you cut the hair off of the doll first. In the design, I used string-of-pearls succulents to look like hair. I suggest ordering a test swatch in the fabric of your choice, as colors may vary a bit depending on type of fabric.
