This design is standard 36-spoke bicycle wheels, with the usual triple-cross linkage, reduced to silhouette form. The template was constructed to scale (from my own bicycle) and then carefully oriented and positioned for p3m1 plane symmetry. Currently displaying a 3-layer version in shades of cyan to teal.
