'Moody stripes in blue, orange + purple by Su_G': Syncopated, moody stripes in a mid-blue, orange & purple play on light & shade, soft & loud, sweet & sour... originally created in chalk on canvas.
© Su Schaefer 2015.

Designed primarily for 'hide dirt' upholstery. See more 'Moody stripes' colorways by Su_G.

Looks stunning printed on Sport Lycra (see the thumbnails above - double click for a clearer view) & should print as seen on the polyesters, wallpaper & gift wrap; swatch recommended to check colors & print before investing in yardage. As well as upholstery, could look good in accent items such as pillows & bags, & clothing.

Original: Chalk on canvas, half-drop repeat.

su_g says: Thanks so much Tina and Janine! I really appreciate your comments and feedback, esp. for evoking the Vivid Festival Janine - that's a great reference! I'm all the time thinking now: how can I use this design to express that big city mood ... Stay tuned, but don't hold your breath!

j9design says: Fabulous design Su and certainly depicts two sides of a big city in the different stripes. Reminds me a bit of the Vivid Festival, I love it!

su_g says: Printed beautifully on the new Sport Lycra - colors rich and true. And it wouldn't be to everyone's taste but I think it looks great as wallpaper - urban, edgy, dramatic.

su_g says: Oh Rhonda you say the nicest things: thank you! I have been watching Harry Bosch (and reading Michael Connolly's novels that feature him) and now I have that sad and elegiac haunting jazz in my head... because I think this is such a big city design - lights, shadows, anonymity... all that stuff... so now you've led me to think of new ways in which to use it... Thanks again!

rhondadesigns says: It is easy to imagine a haunting piece of piece of music drifting through the shadows of this atmospheric design, Su! I love how the small but vibrant patches of acid colours give character and depth to the geometric shapes of the more sombre shades of blue and purple that you have used!:-)
