Description:

This cheater quilt design makes use of a limited palette in a wide range of bold, modern designs that's perfect for someone who wants to go bold!

No two of the "pieced" flowers in this design repeat in exactly the same fashion twice over a standard yard. In fact, I deliberately set the repeat quite wide (and quite tall) on this design so that someone who wants to make a Queen-sized cheater quilt could do so with 6 yards (two lengths of 3 yards each sewn together will make a 96" by 108" design will yield only four full repeats of the exact same "pieced" elements) that has an "authentically" "scrappy" quality.

bargello_stripes says: Lol. I will admit that I went a little overboard on ensuring that the repeat didn't repeat very often, but the truth is that I've always wanted to make a scrappy Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt, so once I had designed the base fabrics, it seemed a shame to not aim for as "authentic" a look as possible. Believe me, it was a lot less work than hand piecing all of those little hexagons would have been. :D
