Everything was going smoothly in paisley land. The peach pens understood their place. The purple pens were a little tired, but kept plugging along. And the ivory markers were ready, willing, and able to perform.
They were told it was to be a plaid event, and they got to work. The purple pen drew the outlines. The ivory marker colored in the petals and some frills. The peach pen was doing its job, in silence. Peach is always a good worker.
Then along came pink.
"This isn't a pink showcase," the exasperated purple pen told the pink crew. "This is a purple production."
But the pink pens paid purple no mind. The filled in the spades and added background dots. They colored right on top of peach and purple, and soon they had taken over the screen.
As the artist, I can tell you, that this is indeed a purple/lavender and orange/peach composition. The pink is over emphasized on your monitor screen. The screen makes this look like it is a pink plaids full of angles and twisting vines. But the printed proof I have shows otherwise. If exact color mix is important to you, see a test swatch, and never trust those overbearing pink pens.
