A traditional style pattern of crossing lines and vertical stripes, done in yellow, pink, and brown, and colored in a modern art style evocative of what was trendy and fashionable in the early 1960's. In 1962 our family had a "dream house" built for us. My mother decorated each room. She picked pink for my bathroom fixtures (a color I never liked) and painted the walls a stark brown. Then she added a pink, white, and brown shower curtain on my bathtub. I told her it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. She told me it was ultra chic and that I would have to live with it. It was very trendy early sixties. I hated it all the years we lived there. This is not ultra chic in any way. It is casual, and modern, and retro. But it does showcase the graphic look of an era in this series of designs where all the lines and shapes are the same, but the colors and treatments, and feelings given off by the offerings in the collections, change. This specific offering in the collection takes you into 1963. (file f30v2c2-ch, #2558895)
