Hearts and paisley grow off the twisting stems of this vine, but in the background are hundreds of nubs of green immature grapes. I have sat on my back porch looking up at those embryonic green promises summer after summer, but I never get to eat any of my grapes. That's because the squirrels think the hard green berries taste just fine as is, and denude every branch. So here is a delicately outlined and colored tribute in purples, pinks, and grape nub green, to my annual disappointment. (file k03b2, #1672643)
