1913 is ready to take on 2013 in this delicate and fiery retro abstract that reminds me of the lithography on face powder boxes and in perfume ads from 100 years ago. Delicate, soaring, after art nouveau, but not yet art deco, the style of that era doesn't seem to have a pop culture name. But the thin and twisting vines, floating diamonds, and three horizontal stripes, each filled with dots of other subtle textural elements, doesn't need a genre name to look good. (file k74j)
