I'm a graphic designer & a quilter. I learned to quilt in 2003 & I fell in love with it. I've always said my dream job would be fabric design - so it's with great excitement that I'm trying this Spoonflower thing!

My entry for the "Typewriters (Black & White)" contest. I started with typewriter keys, added an alphabet of classic names typed out in typewriter font (including my own grandmothers' names - can you guess which ones) and finished with some fun / lacy doodle flowers to make it more feminine and girlie. (I noticed it looks a bit blurry in some views, but it really isn't.)

rhondadesigns says: Including their names in a fabric design is a wonderful way for you to celebrate your connections with some special people in your life, Diane! This is a lovely idea set in an eye-pleasing format!

run_quiltgirl_run says: Thanks so much Melanie & Robyn! Robyn... my grandmothers' names (including the grandmother-in-law who taught me to quilt & one adopted church grandma) are: Flossie, Alma, Twila, & Vera. And I love classic names so much that Myrtle is the name I chose for our cat. :)
