Tessellation of the letter W in symmetry group cm.

Tessellation of the letter W in symmetry group cm. Currently displaying a non-outlined version in 3 colours (the minimum map colouring) from the Spoonflower coral-mint-black-white contest palette. This triples the cell size but results in the same symmetry. Other colours, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together.

sef says: It's amazing that the show presaged a quite separate www phenomenon ...

victorialasher says: I like the colors, I can see this as a dress, and it's a wonderful reference to the show.

sef says: Thankyou. It would look quite different at this smallish scale than it would at the originally envisaged larger scale though. It's interesting how some people like really small prints and others want very large ones. I think I'm somewhere in the middle.

holly_helgeson says: Really like your design! It would look fab made into a dress!

sef says: Thanks. I'm cheating a bit on colours at the moment, while waiting for the rest of my test samples, but these ones do happen to fit well with the 50s anyway. As far as the contest goes, though, it's more of a factory/office uniform design. The chances of everyone accidentally wearing something that appropriate to a party as a cocktail dress are rather remote. But it's excellent how the old fictional company name matches a real modern phenomenon.
