I did this design this semester for a watercolor class. It was a color assignment, so I chose to do a fabric design. Indigo and Sepia. The lines are made with a resist, in a batik or silk-painting style. I like the expressive, variable line I got with the resist. All I did in Photoshop was clean up the edges of the scan so it would repeat seamlessly. (And edit the color so it printed like the original.)
