sef

sef says: ... and I think the relative lack of votes rather confirms that view! However, I should be wearing my own graph print soon - once I get through a bit more of the project backlog. I had a few more fights with the sewing machine today. I'm sure it regards actually being used as something of an imposition on its basic right to free house room.

sef

sef says: Well, very usable by geeks, nerds and freaks but probably not quite the thing for many of the chintz flower or ghetto camouflage types! :-D

glimmericks says: The colors really make this design pop. A "must zoom" to see all the details - it's an awesome collection and very usable!

sef

sef says: Technically, one of those is the "wrong" one - having now decided to group them as R4, R6/3 and S43. I also have some more components to upload - but you know why that's not a good idea at the the moment.

sef

sef says: As well as being away from my computer for most of the run-up time, the main difficulty was in picking which of the variants of the designs to make into an entry. I rather like the S43 grid of polar dots but suspected they wouldn't look obviously dotty enough for some people. Similarly, many people wouldn't get the R6 graph (since it's only used in crystallography and similar niche fields). I was also considering a non-ditzy "scatter" print of vector arrows but the tri-arrows are probably more understandable to the majority (again as 3D axes rather than hexagonal ones). Then I had to convince myself to actually go with the spicy colour scheme I'd planned rather than the plain greys I'd used for the preparation work.

weaving...

weavingmajor says: ha ha ha ha! excellent. I want a dress where the top is made from the squares grid, and the skirt from the polar polka-dots... or a dress from the polkadots with collar and cuffs from the grid... it's delightfully geeky and pretty too.
