I sized it for a 12inch high border.
My parents married in 1940, and some of these items were probably wedding gifts, or possibly from their families and even older. When I was young cocktails were a regular part of the before dinner routine at my parent's dinner parties, and the big cocktail party they held to celebrate twelfth night, and my mother's birthday on whatever Saturday was closest to January 5th. I own the pressed glass Whiskey decanter and bitters bottle set, the jigger, which still gets occasional use, the seltzer bottle, the martini pitcher and stirrer, and one lonely little Manhattan glass with an etched rooster. The sherry decanter, with the lovely air bubbles in the glass, and the tall martini pitcher and stirrer, are from the 1960s, the rest is older.
