Let's have fun learning some Japanese foods! How many of these Japanese treats do you know? The swatch size will make a cute DIY pillow project. The back panel can be the same or a color of your choice. Sew around three sides only with right sides facing each other. Turn and iron edges. Make a stack of these for a party! Color with crayons, placing a piece of cardboard from a cereal box in between for easier coloring. Iron the project with the cardboard still in place. Remove cardboard and stuff with polyester filling. Turn the edges of the opened side inward and hand or machine sew the pillow close. If you purchase a yard, you can get around 9 pillows (fronts only). Don't worry about the edges not matching perfectly. That is part of the fun and coloring challenge.
