As a girl Ioved finding and catching bugs to study and admire. You could find me in the backyard garden regularly with a butterfly net in hand. In college I took an art history of jewellery course and learned about live beetles worn as jewellery during the Victorian era. I always liked the idea of wearing insects as jewellery even if it slightly repels me, it is even more thrilling!!! This pattern is a mash up of two seemingly different worlds - bugs and insects, but on closer inspection are not as different as you would expect.
