Curly sine waves twist and slink and turn themselves into tendrils, forming hearts and diamonds full of leaves and flowers. Some might call this graphic style art nouveau, but it is really from an era two decades later--the arts and crafts (sometimes called craftsman) movement of 100 years ago. With geometric elements like art deco, and sensuous lines like art nouveau, this style, that was popular in the 1912-1922 decade of the first world war, which they called The Great War, and "the war to end all wars," never got the recognition of its better named cousins. But I like it. (file f55f2b)
