Suggested by a friend who saw the original black and white skirt I designed who asked what a similar skirt would look like in color. Once again, I looked up pictures of actual 18th century fabrics and combined them in a new way. This skirt and the black and white one have become staples of my summer wardrobe. The only difference in how I constructed this one was that I concentrated the gathering just on the sides (the other one was gathered evenly all the way around). NOTE: I recently wore this skirt while working as an extra on the movie "The Outskirts" as a steampunk character. The actors and crew members are always asking where I'm getting these types of clothes from!
