jeanfb says: This is awesome! I love that it's not "cutesy" but is such a fabulous kids' fabric. Heck it's great for adults too - kinda want it in our media room, LOL!

uzumakijo

uzumakijo says: I LOVE this alphabet Cean - I can't believe i haven't commented on it already, i'm soooo behind! We are all very keen on a beastie in this house and your collection of creatures has gone down a right treat here. I'm especially loving the siren, gorgon and kraken. Whereas my son is a big manticore and basilisk fan! My daughter loves the fairy and yeti!! all the illustrations are wonderful, your detail is amazing and i'm so impressed with how you got your characters shaped into their corresponding letters, something i wanted to do with mine but failed hahaa! Also you have a totally fabulous repeat here! This is a total winner in my book....hope everyone else is on the same page!!

ceanirm...

ceanirminger says: Thanks everybody, and Judith, I'm putting a sampler in soon and will let you know when it's okay for sale. Thanks so much for the sweet compliment and I'm a huuuuge Froud fan, too! And thanks Vo and flinchumcreations for helping me feel better about my zombie gaff. Maybe if I ate a few more brains i'd get smarter.....

bard_ju...

bard_judith says: Amazing (as always). Not only did I vote for this, I humbly implore you to make it sellable. My daughter's tiny bedroom is done in a fairy-tale theme - not the cutesy Disney version, but a more Grimm / Froud personal and natural style - and these wonderful characters would fit right in! Please, please, pretty please with a chimera on top?

jellyfi...

jellyfishearth says: Zombies are by nature contrary to their natural form. I shout, "True, True" to a backwards zombie!

Posted about 6 years ago.

sef

sef says: It seems to take a while for some replacement images to percolate through the system (as noted on my own colour tweaks). The zoom here changed very quickly. The shop preview (used for the main image above) took a couple of hours perhaps. The tiny thumbnail is very variable, from instant to a day or so, and the zombie in that one here hasn't caught up yet.

glimmer...

glimmericks says: Ah hah! You already fixed it!

Posted about 6 years ago.

glimmer...

glimmericks says: I love it. And I don't see what is wrong with the zombie.

vo_aka_...

vo_aka_virginiao says: OR (dah, dah, dah) he MOVED when you weren't looking. He is a zombie ya know.

Posted about 6 years ago.

ceanirm...

ceanirminger says: Yikes! Childhood dyslexia rears it's ugly head! Thanks so much for the heads up Sef, the zombie is looking for brains in the right direction now. I used to write whole sentences backwards and was really nervous that I might get someone all widdershins in this contest but even after multiple checks and rechecks, that guy got through. Another reason to hate zombies, I guess.

sef

sef says: Nice, but your zombi(e) is back to front (for the normal English alphabet). :-/

weaving...

weavingmajor says: I'm in awe even of your repeat... but much more so of your lovely illustrated manuscript letters. Phoenix is my own favorite, I'm a sucker for your spirals - although the jackalope gave me a chuckle - it's legendary at last! And I had to look up vegetable lamb - fascinating stuff.

Posted about 6 years ago.

ceanirm...

ceanirminger says: Thanks! I am a geek through and through and I have always loved reading up on mythical creatures and the like, so this was a fun way to put some useless information to use (I really am amazed I never played dungeons and dragons). Thanks to Jillian Morris who got me over that X stump I reached with Xanthus, son of the west wind.
