We have all heard the limerick "roses are red, violets are blue..." but nobody seems to listen to it. Roses can be red, though they do not have to be. But violets, are, well, violet, otherwise known as purple. They are not blue! So why, does this limerick persist? This sweetly heart and floral design attempts to answer the question, once and for all, by showing you violets, that are violet, in a hand drawn world of simple coloring book style black outlines and shades of pink, mauve, purple, and green, over true white. There are stars, vertical stripes, circles, leaves, buds, and flowers galore in this art nouveau based design. And not one of those flowers is blue. (file xyz289a, #5411101)
