"Pono ke Ala" - "The Path is Correct" - is a hula study group which offers classes in Hawai`i and Japan. This design was created by Hawaiian artist and kumu hula Leilehua Yuen especially for Pono ke Ala. It represents Pele, the Hawaiian volcano goddess with an erupting volcano. It represents Hi`iaka, the youngest sister of Pele and the patroness of hula, as the lehua blossom. The design reminds Pono ke Ala students that the path to our traditions of hula begin at Kīlauea.
