upcycle...

upcyclepatch says: Pavlova - no red back on the spider because I haven't encountered one yet (hurrah - just a few huntsmen) and wanted to use my own photos where possible. One of my ideas that I didn't get round to doing was using some of the "big" fruit that are around towns in Australia to do a fabric - might still do a big things fabric one day.

pavlovais

pavlovais says: (Here it is! I'll figure all this out one of these days...) Look! Ears & teeth too-eek. The spider makes it but where is the red back?!

upcycle...

upcyclepatch says: Thanks for the comments, I had fun doing this and the pineapple eyes are my favorite bit. I have entered this in the contest but think is probably not eligible because the original fruit photos were not mine although are available for reuse - so might have to pull it. But I like it anyway and will get round to making something with it one day am sure.

weaving...

weavingmajor says: ooh, that's so creepy-cool! I didn't see it all right away... the baby head in the apple... the eyes in the watermelon... it's a slowly dawning horror with some beauty in there too. you ought to do a coordinating fabric with just the eyeball-pineapples close together in a regular pattern (or a well balanced scatter)... I'm thinking of my sister during her college years - she would have LOVED the pineapples.
